a heavy heart
today i was with some kids who just break my heart. i cant really go into their names or stories, but you cant imagine what some of these kids have been through and how their past has affected them. today i was just holding a boy, wiping his tears and blowing his nose. That was the only need i could meet out of so many, but my heart was just breaking wanting to do more. pray for these kids, though you dont know their names or their faces, lift them before the Lord. they are your brothers and sisters. this world is full of so much pain and problems, and yet the Lord is our joy and our hope.

Emily, seems like the Lord led you to imitate Him and be genuinely compassionate to a hurting little boy. Ephesians 5:1, "Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Thank you for the reminder to pray for these little ones.

I prayed this prayer for you today from Ephesians 3:14-21.
“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen Emily with power through his Spirit in her inner being, so that Christ may dwell in her heart through faith. And I pray that sweet Emily, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that she may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
